WordProof, a leading social goods provider that uses the EOS blockchain for its timestamping solutions, has announced the launch of WordProof Timestamp for Shopify. This is a new plugin developed for e-commerce websites that use Shopify as their Content Management System (CMS), which equates to 5.6% of all websites built with CMS.
Shopify is already one of the leading e-commerce platforms in the world, with over 2 million businesses across 175 countries using its online platform. Roughly 4.4% (440,000) of the top 10 million websites use Shopify, generating a total gross merchandise volume exceeding $197 billion in 2022.
“WordProof’s mission is to make the internet a more trustworthy and secure place by leveraging the power of blockchain technology. The introduction of WordProof Timestamp for Spotify marks a significant step forward in achieving this goal, as it enables Shopify websites to easily adopt transparency and accountability.”
The WordProof Timestamp for Spotify plugin will enable all the online businesses that use Shopify as their Content Management System to effortlessly and immutably timestamp their online content (product and service listings). Using the EOS blockchain to timestamp their content, Shopify businesses will be able to publically prove the ownership of their content. This transparency enhances trust between the online store and its customers. As well as boost security, as both parties can verify the authenticity of the content easily on the EOS blockchain.
WordProof has been recognized with an award of €1 million by the European Commission for its leading social good service in the blockchain space. With plugins for some of the world’s leading platforms such as WordPress, Drupal, Joomla, and Shopify etc, 48% of all websites on the internet can now integrate WordProof within minutes.
That is potentially millions of online businesses, their clients, and their customers being onboarded to WordProof and EOS’ highly scalable infrastructure.
