Voice is working with leaders in the arts and culture to launch the first NFT residency. Through this residency, artists can connect with their true fans and other emerging creators to collectively create and connect.
This initiative is based on Kevin Kelly's idea, Wired's founding executive director, who proposed the 1,000 True Fans concept in 2008.
As stated in the article:
“A creator, such as an artist, musician, photographer, craftsperson, performer, animator, designer, videomaker, or author – in other words, anyone producing works of art – needs to acquire only 1,000 True Fans to make a living.”
NFT Residency plans to produce NFTs collectively under the slogan 'Raise Our Voice,' a reflection of NFTs' ability to find rising artists and generate individual expressions.
The program will begin with 5 Voice Curators:
The idea is to find emerging creators by combining the skill of these five Curators with the technology provided by Voice.com. A group of artists will be brought together by each curator to create and mint together. The first set of NFTs will be released in conjunction with Voice's public debut later this summer.
