The Telos Foundation has announced their new partnership with Genobank.io, through which they will develop an open-source app, called Agerona, for securely source low-cost COVID-19 testing that will be released in April.
Through this app, users will be able to analyze their data and share their results with researchers, all using the Telos Blockchain and a new Genobank.io token.
The app provides a completely anonymous way to send the data collected from users, so that researchers are able to read aggregate data from the system along with minimal geographic information.
"This project is a remarkable example of how individuals from around the world can come together to increase the tools we have to address global problems. Increasingly, we will see grassroots teams such as this rapidly providing solutions that governments cannot" - Douglas Horn, from Telos Foundation
