The dfuse team announced the release of new tools that will allow EOSIO chain managers to easily migrate the status of one chain to another.
These new migration tools will be particularly useful for corporations and organizations that use EOSIO, or ini specific cases where it is necessary to launch a new chain from a particular state, for example users could copy the state of existing chains like the EOS mainnet.
The tool requires very few commands to use and start a new chain from a previously copied snapshot. Users can also make changes to the snapshot that will only be present in the new chain. It is also possible to duplicate chains, by maintaining the integrity of the first chain so that it is completely verifiable by a third party. Indeed, an interesting solution that increases the flexibility of EOSIO software.
