Due to the recent freezes by Youtube towards some crypto influencers, Dan Larimer was worried that this could be the beginning of a crypto censorship by big tech companies.
For this reason he immediately shared his concerns on Twitter, advising to start buying physical books again because in a completely digital (and centralized) world, it's very easy to turn it into an Orwellian dystopia.
"Today Youtube censors crypto, tomorrow amazon censors books. Get your books now before they are banned."
In any case YouTube publicly apologized for the situation claiming it was a mistake in their new review process policies, and reactivated all banned videos.
However, the concerns of possible censorship remain, and it would be better to move towards a digital, but decentralized world.
