Recently Block. One CEO Brendan Blumer was interviewed by Cointelegraph about 2020, the year of Decentralized Finance, and what to expect for 2021.
Brendan suggests an evolution from Decentralized Finance, to a more open financial system, called Programmable Finance, or ProFi. This would act as a bridge between the blockchain ecosystem, in particular the EOS blockchain, to the regulated financial world. Basically it should adapt the benefits of DeFi, with the current financial sector so that it is compliant with regulations.
"Crypto compliance and regulatory frameworks are taking shape and maturing rapidly. The real winners in the digital economy will be those that think long-term and take the time to ensure their products meet jurisdictional and professional service requirements."
As we enter the last week of 2020 and look ahead to the upcoming 2021, EOS Go will continue to accompany you and bring you fresh information on the EOS ecosystem, and we share your expectations for a bright new year for EOS.
